About the Position

A leading manufacturing company based in Paarl is looking to employ a qualified and experienced SHE Administrator. The ideal candidate will reside in the Cape Winelands area and must be open to travel extensively. This is a 3 month contract position; we are looking for someone to start immediately.



Job Summary:

Administration Support of the Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems of BESTTEC in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements. To support the SHEQ Management team in maintaining and administering the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Management System requirements on project sites.

SHE Training such as NEBOSH, SAMTRAC or other relevant qualifications.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience.
Knowledge and experience in ISO standards will be an advantage.
Background in Construction.
Good understanding of international and regional SHE standards and best practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PP and Outlook) Visio will be an advantage.


Responsibilities:




Research statutory and regulatory requirements where necessary.
Maintain all system documents and records as per Management System Requirements for active project sites.
Check and monitor Project specific logistics requirements – packaging, dispatch, delivery programme.
Monitor progress and completion of SHE nonconformities during SHE site audits.
Ensure NCR and Incident investigations are conducted and assist the SHEQ Systems Coordinator with identification of root causes.
Ensure corrective/preventive actions are established and recorded into NCR's.
Follow up the effectiveness of corrective actions.
Analyse NCR’s, incidents and Supplier Quality Alerts.
Relay amendments of SHE Management Plans including HIRA’s & AIR to SHEQ System Coordinator.
Review and verify internal Project files for completeness and conformance to SHE Management Systems requirements.
Conduct internal audits on project Health & Safety files received from contractors. Compilation of corrective actions and follow up.
Consolidate project Health & Safety files received from contractors for submission to the client.
Sort, label and archive project Health & Safety files.
Assist with project specific cost management of 3rd party SHE consultants.
Assist with general SHE admin, such as obtaining project related SHE evidence needed for client approval, evaluation of suppliers/contractors, following up with contractors on SHE related information required, etc.
