Operations Manager

Our client has been the market leader in the supply of quality cast acrylic products in sub-Saharan Africa for over 60 years with excellent brand equity and reputation in their target market.

They also sell LED lighting solutions into the signage, point of sale, shop fitting, commercial and architectural markets.

Performance responsibilities:

· SHEQ

· Stock integrity on both Perspex sheet and LED

o Daily cycle counts

o Full monthly counts.

o Inbound stock – direct from suppliers as well as other regions

o Outbound stock to other regions

· Ensure daily opening and closing of the building

· Daily delivery schedules to ensure excellent customer satisfaction

· Effective picking of daily deliveries to optimize company resources

· Planning of daily deliveries to optimally use company vehicles

· Managing and ensuring all company vehicles and equipment are maintained

· Managing distribution cost as per budget

· Manage, develop and supervise direct staff

· Disciplinary procedures

· Compile monthly report for EXCO

· Management of cutting department

o Ensure All safety procedures are adhered to

o Optimized cutting

o Management of off-cuts

o Maintenance of equipment



· Counter sales

o Management of counter sales staff

o Cash management – daily deposits



· Workshop

o Daily management of staff

o Management of material issued for projects



Qualifications:

· Minimum Grade 12

· Previous supervisory experience

· Experience implementing policy regulations and operational procedures that promote organizational efficiency and

internal controls

· Extensive people management skills

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Graduate degree in related field would be advantageous
