CarZar.co.za, founded in 2016, is an online C2B marketplace for the second-hand car market in South Africa. We are looking for an experienced Marketing Professional to oversee the marketing operations within the company and to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.

We’re looking for a high calibre, focused individual who will be responsible for driving growth of CARZAR by leading the execution of the brand marketing in line with commercial strategy as set by the business. You will be given extensive and diverse responsibilities across the marketing mix and will play a key role in driving the implementation & execution of the brand strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for developing & implementing integrated marketing plans & managing marketing budget for CARZAR
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, annual planning, promotion, positioning, pricing, and market research. Converting market research insights into specific actions.
Delivers monthly updates to business review and monitor market performance & directly responsible for leading the development and execution of the CARZAR strategy in line with business commercial strategy
Works with sales and finance to develop and execute successful business plans to deliver net revenue, gross margin, market share and product contribution targets within timescales and budget
Responsible for marketing for CARZAR with responsibility for activation excellence of brand plans.
Works across functions including sales and finance to develop and execute successful commercial plans in order to deliver financial and share plans and targets
Generates and proposes business development initiatives for CARZAR based on consumer, dealer and market understanding.
Provide monthly updates to business review and monitor market performance, responsible for successful implementation of brand plan as per business review and business plan
Supports the Sales team in creating dealer presentations and meeting dealer requirements.
Ability to drive business agenda using all available data and resources
Clearly communicate actionable insights and drive results across multiple teams
Ability to manage several projects and work streams, and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Develop strong relationships with all the stakeholders and cross functional teams
Develop and implement all channels communication strategy for CARZAR, focusing on innovation with a strong focus on social/digital media.
Experience in working with advertising agencies, developed concepts, managing the television advertising process, program development and execution.
Requirements

Educated to minimum bachelor’s degree level in a commercial subject
Must have previous brand management experience
Proven track record in Marketing must be able to demonstrate outstanding marketing skills and potential
Strong analytical skills with experience using Consumers Quals and Quant research that translate into a strong understanding of marketing landscape
Confident in presenting analysis, diagnosis and solutions to senior management
Strong strategic thinking, planning, and priority setting
Experience in managing direct reports
Excellent project management skills
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
Ability to work well with sales teams to ensure translation of CARZAR strategy to customer/dealers
Proven track record as a top performer within a multi-cultural environment
Proven leadership skills including initiative, communication, creativity, bias towards action, and success even in the face of ambiguity
Additional functional experience, preferably in Sales and/or Trade Marketing is an advantage
Must be proficient in Microsoft Words, Excel and Powerpoint
The business language in CARZAR is English, therefore fluency in this language is essential. Fluency in other languages(s) is advantageous
