Strategic Overview:

Based in Cape Town and reporting to the Distribution Executive, the Marketing Specialist is a key appointment that includes an exceptional prospect to contribute to and share in; the development of the business.

Key Focus Areas:

Working with senior internal stakeholders, develop and implement the Marketing & Communications (M&C) strategy to meet commercial requirements.
Ensure that all M&C needs are understood, documented and delivered within prescribed timelines. Track and report-on progress of all key projects to the CEO and Distribution Executive.
Coordinate all aspects of M&C and represent M&C on specified committees.
Contribute to the creation of all external online and offline content and brand collateral; including brochures, fact sheets, editorials, advertisements, etc. Manage quality assurance of all content and brand collateral; including formatting, proof-reading and checking for accuracy / clarity. Ensure compliance to prescribed Group M&C guidelines.
Maintain partnerships with / manage suppliers, oversee contractual agreements and collaborate with Legal & Compliance to ensure that M&C activities are aligned with regulatory frameworks.
Be the custodian of all M&C material and content.
If you have ...

A proven track record of developing and managing M&C strategies and projects from inception to conclusion;
A sound ability to grasp complex products and communicate these simply;
A history of supporting internal stakeholders and translating their requirements into M&C objectives;
Great experience in developing and creating content for all online and offline material, plus additional forms of Brand Collateral and Marketing Communications (brochures, annual reports, fact sheets, newsletters etc)., with a primary focus on below-the-line work;
(Experience working with Financial Services products - beneficial).
