Our national client seeks to employ a Junior Branch Admin Assistant / Internal Sales for their busy branch based in Port Elizabeth. Knowledge or previous experience with Glass & Aluminium Wholesale & Retail industry experience would be an advantage.

The Branch Admin Assistant would be expected to perform any of the numerous functions and activities relating to the Branch Supervisor and General Office Administration ensuring the proper running of the Branch particularly in the absence of the Branch Supervisor while ensuring the highest level of customer service is maintained at all times;

Supervise Depot and staff – in the managers’ absence
Perform internal sales \ delivery co-ordination function
Perform general office administration duties.
This position is open to all designated groups in SA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES;

Reception and access control.
Answering incoming calls.
Internal sales – Order book, taking orders, phoning customers daily.
Co-ordinate deliveries and send sms to customers when truck departs.
Check vehicle; (Daily mileage, Glass to Invoice, Cleanliness).
Consolidate and check delivery documentation.
Assist with stock take and maintain stock sheets on glass & putty racks.
Daily banking – Assist \ backup.
Wages – Assist \ backup.
Petty cash control and weekly reconciliation. Bank account recon.
Ordering of depot consumables, stationery etc
Filing and Housekeeping.
Typing and preparation of spreadsheets for sales reports/sales history etc.
Typing of letters and correspondence.
Maintain daily \ weekly sales figures and distribute.
General secretarial duties.
Due to the nature of the business perform all other related or incidental activities when required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE;

In order to perform these duties the employee needs to have:

Strong organizational skills and an assertive manner.
Self-discipline with a high level of energy.
A good telephone manner.
Matric (Grade 12)
Computer literacy including email, MS Word, Excel & Pastel.
Good numeracy skills.
Fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
