I Have a possition available for a Unqualified semi trailer technician in Alberton



Salary is R6k pm (please do not apply if you are in a higher salary bracket)

General description

Responsible for the execution of workshop functions and repairs to Company vehicles specifically trailers.

Main functions:

Repairs and service of trailers (first priority)
QC and assistance with repairs of tow hitches
General work
Administration






Repairs of the trailers (First priority)
Repairs and maintenance, standard services and major services of trailers according to predetermined methodology and standards.
All faults and abnormalities of trailers to be reported to management
Quality checks to be done on all trailers in Alberton depot.
Responsible for all welding work on trailers as well as general welding work on request by management.


QC services and assistance with repairs to tow hitch
Provide assistance with the repairs and maintenance as well as normal and major services within the predetermined methodology and standards.
Management and control on work assigned to group in workshop, in order to ensure that the work is done in accordance with the predetermined methodology and standards.
Provide assistance and advice to other colleagues as needed.
Responsible to ensure that the work environment is safe and to use the safety officer where needed.


General
Standby and stand-in after hours in the services department as required
Responsible for neatness and tidiness in the work environment.


Administrative
Completion of requisitions for parts and handing in of the equations for approval.
Completion of the job cards and to ensure that all services are completed and in line with the predetermined methodology and standards, afterwards the job cards will also have to be sent
