Town Planner / Site Acquisition Specialist - Telecoms

Our company is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Site Acquisition Specialist / Town Planner within the Telecommunications Industry to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:

Compilation and submission of Land-Use / Statutory Applications with relevant Local Authorities in the prescribed format
Facilitating the approval of applications by means of active involvement / engagement and liaison with Local Authorities
Experience / Training Required:

At least 3 years relevant experience in Town planning with specific emphasis on Land-Use / Statutory application
Perform preliminary candidate search and report on viable locations for sites to ensure entitlements are possible.
Report all site acquisition activities on assigned sites.
Coordinate with land owner and client during the lease negotiation process to obtain fully executed lease or option agreement.
Prepare lease document package for negotiation and finalized package with detailed account of negotiations and deal points for client.
Travel to sites and work in client designated areas as required.
Coordinate with other managers, consultants and contractors on project to ensure quality performance.

Registration with SACPLAN will be an advantage
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and sound interpersonal skills
Sound problem solving, negotiation and conflict management skills
Minimum Qualifications:

Matric
2 Years’ experience in Site Acquisition
Registration with SACPLAN will be an advantage
At least 3 years relevant experience in Town planning with specific emphasis on Land-Use / Statutory application'
Relevant B Degree in Town and Regional Planning from a recognized academic institution
Salary: Depending on experience
