Well established Financial Company based in Pietermaritzburg is looking for a Tax Consultant

About the Role

The primary focus will be to provide an array of tax compliance and tax consulting services to a range of clients and departments
Responsibilities

Tax consulting in primarily tax compliance matters
Preparation of tax assignments, reporting to managers / partners
Registration of various taxes
Tax compliance: calculation and completion of provisional tax returns, income tax returns and checking of assessments for companies, exempt entities, individuals, and trusts
IT14SD completions
Tax clearance and tax directive applications
Dispute resolution: Communication with both SARS and clients

SARS queries: Simple to audit
Dividend Withholding Tax (DWT) calculations and completions
SARS appointments and general correspondence with SARS
Compliance with the firm's risk management procedures
Management of billing
Ad hoc administrative duties
Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric
Bachelor of Commerce or studying towards B Com or relevant qualification
Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Accounting office
Experience in dealing with SARS appointments
SARS e-Filing practical experience
Sound knowledge of the relevant tax acts
Microsoft Suite experience
Greatsoft experience – PREFERABLE
Must have own transport
Must be able to work overtime when necessary
