Generator and Plant Hire is involved in the hire, sale and maintenance of diesel generators across a wide range of clients for over 27 years. We specialize in generator sizes between 12KVa and 4MVa and service short and medium-term hires countrywide through a network of branches.

Our customer base includes Local Government, Mining, Telecommunications, Construction, Agriculture and Commercial enterprises that depend on reliable robust power supply for critical operations.

We seek the services of an experienced professional to join our young and dynamic team. This position is based in our Johannesburg Head Office in Midrand.
SALES

Achieve agreed profitability targets.
Establish, develop and maintain relationships with current and future customers.
Expedite and follow up on the successful resolving of customer problems and complaints.
Provide after sales service.
Weekly customer visits.
Monthly customer outings.
One week country trip every month.

Travel, develop and maintain brand in the neighbouring country nearer to the branch.
Achieve short and long term- goals.


MARKETING AND COMPETITOR ANALASISY

Quarterly competitor pricing comparison to be submitted
Monthly submission of market analysis
Quarterly board pack with fresh info
Research, report and keep abreast of market conditions.
Investigate, report and understand the organizational structure of clients.
Keep up to date and report on competitor activity, developments and pricing.
ADMINISTRATION??

Ensure timely and accurate completion of enquiries, quotes and tenders.
Ensure the timely and accurate loading of sales orders
Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all internal administration.
Assist the relevant accounts personnel with the collection of outstanding / overdue payments
Preparing and distribution of marketing and sales aids
Provide timely and accurate stock verification information on equipment on site.
Timely and accurate completion of weekly and monthly reports.
Compliance to all reasonable instructions.
No outstanding debtors amount in excess of 45 days.
Customer surveys – within 5 days of last delivery
Occupational Health, Safety & Quality Control

Compliance to the GPHSA / clients SHEQ code of conduct and standards.
Compliance to the GPHSA processes, procedures and quality system.
Ensure the correct use of Personnel Protective Equipment.
MINIMUM EDUCATION

Grade 12 (Matric)
B.com degree or equivalent will be advantageous
Minumin Experience

At least 3 – 5 years experience in generator industry / commercial and industrial markets with strong mining background.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Ability to communicate fluently in English. Aptitude for figures. Work effectively under pressure.
SKILLS REQUIRED



Negotiations, selling, Computer literate ability to use MS office. Excellent administration skills
VALUES REQUIRED

Honesty and integrity. Able and willing to travel. Overtime: After hours and some weekend work.
