Principal Fleet Officer-City of Cape Town
Requirements
5 years relevant experience
A Qualified Diesel Mechanic (heavy duty bus/truck experience
preferable).
Intimate understanding of all mechanical, pneumatic and
electronic equipment as fitted to the MyCity bus fleet.
Supervisory experience in managing and planning staff work
schedules for Senior Fleet Officers.
Physically fit (ability to go under the vehicle in service pits to
inspect/climb onto roof of vehicles, kneel in vehicles when checking

under floor boards, service hatches, etc.).
A valid driverβs licence
Computer literacy (MS Excel).
Key Performance Areas
Ensure fleet management administration functionality and record
keeping.
Ensure vehicles comply with relevant applicable Legislation
Regularly liaise and meet with Vehicle Operating Companies and
external stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to insurance, repairs, accident investigations,
OEM recommendations, attend infringement hearings, etc.
Ensure Risk Management compliance
Chair technical meetings to resolve disputes
Ensure busses are available and fully operational.
