LOGISTICS COORDINATOR (Export)

Our client in the fruit export industry is looking for a logistics co-ordinator to temporarily join their team for a 6 month period.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate outbound logistics – Sea freight specific (All trades)
Manage third party service providers’ outputs, i.e. Freight Forwarders, Transporters
Be available 24/7 on-call for transport queries and coordination decisions that need to be made
Arrange inspections as needed
Ensure accompanying documentation for export is in order
Manage and interact professionally with clients, on logistics matters.
Administration handling of the export process and related documents, and the filing thereof.
System management (Navision):
– Data capturing (intakes and stock for loadouts)
– Processing of mates and electronic data

– Generating of Logistical Documentation (e.g. Vessel Manifests, Invoices, Addendums)
– Liaising with third parties regarding electronic data / queries
– Keeping data integrity
Minimum Requirements:

Tertiary qualification
Proven experience as logistics coordinator (minimum 2-3 years)
Computer skills a necessity, especially Microsoft Excel
Experience with logistics of fruit export will strengthen application
Salary: Market related, depending on experience and knowledge.
