Logistics & Brand Process Manager

Main purpose:
To oversee and manage the In and Outbound Logistics Team for CROCS; UNDER ARMOUR & BIRKENSTOCK. To monitor and measure effectiveness of Warehouse facility (TOLL) ensuring effective storage, movement of goods for ‘Last Mile” to all Retail Outlets and Wholesale customers. To monitor and check that daily data integration between SAP (ERP) and INFOR (TOLL Logistics Middleware) systems are effective; accurate and working at optimum performance. To track and measure effectiveness of all associated costs for Inbound and Outbound Logistics when using Couriers/Freight Forwarders.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY 1: MANAGEMENT OF DEPARTMENT:
To oversee and manage the In and Outbound Logistics Team for CROCS, UNDER ARMOUR & BIRKENSTOCK.
• Manage Logistics Coordinators & Invoicing Clerks for CROCS, UNDER ARMOUR & BIRKENSTOCK in accordance with company Values, Goals & Objectives.
• Use GOLP (Goals, Objectives and Learning Plan) to manage and motivate each of your team members.
• Ensure Job profiles within the Logistics department are kept up to date and relevant for respective positions.
• Drive Retail Excellence Project Objectives for all Logistic functions.
• Work together with various departments within in each brand to achieve KPI’s (NUGGET REPORT).
• Distribution of all Logistics & TOLL meeting minutes to Managing Director of BASH (PTY) Ltd.
• Ensure good housekeeping and that HQ is always kept clear of stock.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY 2: PROCESS MANAGEMENT:
To monitor and measure effectiveness of Warehouse facility (TOLL) ensuring effective storage, movement of goods for ‘Last Mile” to all Retail Outlets and Wholesale customers.
To monitor and check that daily data integration between SAP (ERP) and INFOR (TOLL Logistics Middleware) systems are effective; accurate and working at optimum performance.
• Maintain the Returns Processes for Retail, Wholesale and Web for CROCS, UNDER ARMOUR & BIRKENSTOCK, report back any non-conformances to Management.
• Work with Customer Services Teams to ensure that all Customer Specific Online Portals processes (e.g. Take-a-Lot) are well documented and kept up to date.
• Ensure all Brand Specific working documents / templates relating to Inbound Logistics are maintained and communicated to ARES teams when there are changes.
• VAS Files (per customer / brand) are kept up to date internally (ARES) and with the warehouse (TOLL).
• Ensure that all processes are kept in line with the Terms & Conditions stipulated on the
following Company documents: (Credit Applications; Online Exchange & Return Policy; Retail
Stores Exchange & Returns Policy).
• Manage and maintain the Bridge Integration between SAP and Warehouse systems.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY 3: REPORTING:
To track and measure effectiveness of all associated costs for Inbound and Outbound Logistics when
using Couriers / Freight Forwarders.
Present to EXCO the Monthly NUGGET REPORT (per Brand) measuring following:
• Upliftment’s per brand & associated cost.
• Toll Investigations progress (Quality issues; Cycle Counts; Short Deliveries; Lost Sales).
• All Outbound Variances with Last Mile (Using Brand Variance Report).
• Tracking progress of all Returns (Retail; Wholesale; Web) including:
o Warehouse processing time per return.
o Types of Defects; Damages; Mismatches; EOL (End of Line) returns; Oversupplied
returns; Short supplied returns; On the Floor returns.
• Measure Daily Volume of Sales & Internal Stock orders in/out of Warehouse (Pre V; Pre D;
Daily), using TOLL Sales Order Report.
• Weekly Reporting required to be sent by TOLL is being adhered to for feedback to various
departments of ARES.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY 4: SLA MAINTENANCE
• Maintain and define the Logistics SLA, which can be used by all within the Ares Group and
External stakeholders.
• Ensure that TOLL SLA & TOLL Standard Operating Procedures are aligned with our Company
Goals and Objectives.
• Oversee all TOLL internal Stock Takes (In accordance with TOLL / RTT Stock Take Procedure).
• To verify that all Invoices received from TOLL / RTT are in line with measurables (NUGGET
Report).

Candidate Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree or related Diploma in materials or Supply Chain Management
• Diploma or related certification in Project Management
• An Industrial Engineering degree will be preferable
• Good knowledge of the retail environment with regards to ensuring stock is in the right
place at the right time
• Excellent knowledge of warehouse management operations and inventory control methods
in a retail environment
• Experience managing a diverse team
• Excellent IT skills - MS Office (Advanced Excel) and strong experience in the use of ERP
systems
• Good understanding of internal and external customer requirements
• Good financial, analytical, contract knowledge and negotiation skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and
working under tight time deadlines
• Flexibility to act in the moment to deal with unplanned situations
• Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and
accurate completion
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of
internal and external customers.
• Own transport and driver’s license essential
• Negotiation skills
