Logistics and Warehouse Coordinator

Description
As the Logistics & Warehouse Coordinator, maintain all this plant’s warehouses and distribution operations by initiating, co-ordinating, enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures. Ensure stock accuracy above 95% and the continuous supply of materials to satisfy the production plan.

To be considered for this role you have minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial role in Warehousing and Logistics gained in Automotive or the heavy steel sector / industries and have experience in:

manufacturing environment especially in automotive / steel
advanced Microsoft Office and SAP MM, WM
EE position based in Atlantis - Cape Town

Desired Qualification/Education:

Minimum Tertiary qualification in Warehousing / Logistics
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration is highly valuable
Specialized knowledge and Training in:

Valuable Technical Knowledge: Clear and Forwarding laws and regulations,
Material planning and logistic planning (MRP), as well as production planning
Detail orientated, compliance orientated and with exceptional communication (including report writing) and interpersonal skills, the Logistics and warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer service in the inventory team
Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
Arrange and plan out warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments
Resolve any arising problems or complaints
Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements
Comply with laws, regulations and OHS&E requirements
Continuously look for improvements to operations
Working proactively with various departments to realize efficiencies and manage expectations
Audit all operations that they are on time and being performed in a chronological order, avoiding any stoppages or impact on production due to short supply of materials.
Control over approvals of RC and PO, to guarantee establish lead times and that materials arrive on time.
Manage daily / weekly meetings with the team to maintain a coordinated flow of communication and make them share their responsibilities.
Management all Extras materials requisitions, to avoid running out stock or unnecessary purchases
Ensure that all visual inspections of materials are done (Reception and damage in production NCR) are being carried out to ensure that the procedure is completed in its entirety.
Use of material left over from the project to reduce the value of obsolete material.
Audit each supervisor and logistics administrator to ensure that they are doing properly their roles.
Audit the execution of the all inventories, ensuring that all materials are counted, all storeman and supervisors are participating actively and that the differences found are justified before requesting approval for stock adjustments.
MRP monitoring and control of the parameters in the system (lead time / order points and maximum stock) and ensure that the requesting areas report the real consumption needs for each group of material.
Management of the PPIs catalogue and stock control.
Ensure management of 5 S and safety program in all logistics’ areas.
Salary package – R451 281.80 pa including provident fund and statutory contributions
