EE opportunity in Atlantis, Cape Town

To be considered for this interesting role you have 3 years of experience in purchasing and logistics in steel manufacturing and/or engineering industries and have experience in:

Foreign vendor purchasing
Working with a Quality Management system,
Using SAP
Analytical, persuasive, compliance orientated and with exceptional communication (including report writing) and interpersonal skills, the Buyer will be responsible for:

Purchasing materials, supplies and services at the most favourable terms for the organization.
Qualify vendors, evaluate bids, and negotiate prices and terms for purchased goods and services.

Tracking purchases, monitoring vendor quality (in terms of supply), and maintaining a current database of vendor information.
Desired Qualification/Education:

Minimum Tertiary qualification in Purchasing and Supply
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or engineering is preferable.
Specialized knowledge and Training in:

Valuable Technical Knowledge: Strong Negotiating, Purchasing, planning and inventory processes in a high volume-manufacturing environment.
Import & Export Knowledge.
Knowledge of supplier sourcing.
Salary package – R297 804.04 pa including provident fund and statutory contributions.
