BIGRADAP GROUP TECHNOLOGIES (PTY) LTD is a specialist IT company providing customised ICT based solutions and services to the public and private sectors in Africa.
We are based in Centurion with offices in the DRC. We currently have a vacancy for an ICT manager to manage and direct all IT resources in line with the business strategy and priorities for the South African and DRC Offices.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Assure integrity of corporate data, proprietary information and related intellectual property through information security and access management.
Create a strategic plan that defines how IT will contribute to the company’s strategic objectives and related costs and risks.
Creates a portfolio of tactical IT plans that are derived from the IT strategic plan.
Plans will cover all aspects both internally and for clients, including but not limited to storage solutions, telephony, IP cameras, DR, LANS, WANS, AD, security, exchange, backups
Manage and mentor staff to ensure high performance outputs
Technical write ups for tenders and proposals.
Representing company at conferences, demos and workshops
Effectively manage the ICT budget and track spend against budget
Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all staff are kept informed of ICT objectives.
Analysing potential strategic partner relationships.
Creation and testing of business continuity plans, standards, policies and procedure
Responsible for recommending IT solutions to address identified risks; convincing business of the need to implement within an agreed timeframe to mitigate against violations, threats and exposures. Manages, direct and monitors the implementation of the recommended solutions.
Responsible for developing, designing, establishing and maintaining the Change/Problem Management process according to the ITIL framework
Experience, qualifcations and skills
10+ years ICT Management
Experience in Africa preferred
Must have had responsibility for all elements of the ICT cluster
Proven consultative skills
Strong project management, presentation and facilitation skills
Experience in managing 3rd parties
Knowledge of Web services and SOA
Understand client requirements and design
Professional report writing skills is essential
Excellent time management skills
Budgeting / financial experience
Excellent People and Performance Management skills
Ability and a willingness to work additional hours when needed (e.g. after hours and weekends)
Willingness and ability to travel at short notice.
Additional languages advantageous
Ability to maintain confidentiality is crucial
Needs to be able to manage conflict and seek resolution.
