RESPONSIBILITIES

Procurement of goods and services
Manage stock control
Management of job card system
Cleaning of campus grounds and maintain the infrastructure of all buildings
Ensure that the campus gardens and sports fields are well maintained
materials and services
Supervision, monitoring and training of staff to ensure that college buildings are
maintained as per standards
Provide support service for college activities and/or events
OHS Compliance
Moving furniture and equipment as required

REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12
Minimum 5 years’ building maintenance experience ( Electrical, civil & plumbing)
Valid driver’s licence
Computer literate (MS Office proficient)
Language proficiency in English

RECOMMENDATIONS1

Experience within a TVET sector
Ability to work independently or part of a team
A solution orientated and proactive individual who communicates well with peers and
managers
Attention to detail
Relevant Trade test in building environment
Knowledge and experience working within the regulations of the Occupational Health &
Safety Act
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Valid PDP
Experience in carpentry, painting, plumbing and glazing (please state other skills)
