Material Requirements Planner
Reporting to the Logistics & Materials Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the following key activities:
Responsibilities:
Ensure the interface between customer needs and the production activities
Prepare monthly Sales and Operations Plan, to obtain a levelling of volumes and to optimise the resources (men, machines, materials and the capacity readiness of suppliers)
Implement and drive the Master Production Schedule to ensure a levelled production plan and protect production lines from variations of the customers demand
Manage the pool and safety stocks levels. Check that procurements stem from the PDP
Analyse, understand and anticipate customer needs. Analyse customer MPM in a way to propose improvement action plans
Define and optimise the data gathering and exchange. Ensure data quality in systems
Follow up the achievement of the customer delivery program (In Customer/OEM Portals)
Manage the internal alerts. Follow up the transportation and the delivery of pieces
Follow up and validate customer EDI exchange. Ensure daily communication / response to Customers on all supply risks
Follow up the Procurement Program realization
Follow up on unloading, receipt and transportation of pieces
Achieve the monthly transportation program and half-yearly transportation scheme
In charge of packaging management
With Purchasing, ensure the logistics conventions set up and procurement and packaging conditions with suppliers
Performs additional related duties as required
Qualifications/Skills/Experience required
Minimum Matric with relevant Logistics Qualifications (SAPICS/PPIM)
5 Yearsβ experience in large automotive manufacturing environment
SAP working knowledge
Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Advanced Excel
Must have 5 yearβs supply chain experience
R25000 - R35000 + Benefits depending on qualifications and experience
