Fashion Assistant

Job description
Working within the fashion team and supporting the fashion editors in producing all fashion content for the print magazine
Merchandise management- following procedures of check-in, storing, packing and returning from clients
Helping with sourcing for shoots and returning merchandise in the same condition it was given
Make sure storeroom is in order all the time
Assisting with model castings – dress models and make sure clothing is styled correctly
Assisting in optioning teams and locations for a shoot and making sure all options are managed in fashion diary
Creation of purchase orders and booking forms and sending to relevant suppliers
Petty cash management-requesting in timely fashion organising and distributing to relevant team members
Prep for shoot briefings – set up rails and make sure merch is in order
Production organization on shoot days including food, assisting stylists with clothing prep and styling and taking accurate credits of shot merchandise
Job bag creation including the prep of copy docs checking credit copy, image contact sheets, and briefs
Collection of supplier invoicing, and collecting recons and expenses for budgets
Creation of mailing list of all members who worked on the respective issue

Making sure all relevant crew members get pdfs of editorials


Requirements
Keen passion for fashion
Able to identify and execute tasks in order of priority and work on deadlines
Excellent multitasking capacity with ability to manage various projects and tasks
Strong and efficient administrative skills
Ability to work on own and within a team
Good attention to detail
Flexible approach to work hours while consistently performing in varied environments
Calm under pressure
Highly organised
Loyal, ethical worker with strong integrity and can do attitude
Able to relate to and communicate with people of all nationalities, ethnicities
and backgrounds
Must have own vehicle/drivers licence
