Basic Function



The Data Processor is responsible for the processing of field data and the production of charts, maps and reports.
Roles And Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



1.1 Operations

Check survey data received from the field for completeness and quality. Carry out data processing as per requirement.
Carry out check computations using raw and processed data. Check and approve final map products.
Ensure that technical data submitted in reports are correct.
Check format and content of reports and charts.
Provide survey data at project commencement to Party Chiefs and ensure survey parameters are correctly defined.
Responsible for correct processing of survey data.
Liaise with Processing & reporting co-ordinator and Project Manager on processing and reporting progress.


1.2 Software Support



Support with workstation software customisation, software installation and maintenance.
Manage proper functioning of mapping workstations and interfacing for data transfer from field data acquisition units / media

1.3 Specific Additional Duties



Actively participate in adherence to and improvement of the company Management System on Quality and HSE related issues.
Ensure Company Business style is adhered to.
Perform offshore data processor function when required.
When applicable, be available for temporary substitution of other positions in the company.
Implementation of Company Policy.



2. PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS



Work with supervisor for timely submission of reports.
Work with Processing & reporting co-ordinator and Project Managers for correct issuing of survey instructions and data.
Liaise with Party Chiefs on data quality and processing requirements
Requirements

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS



Knowledge of specific hydrographic acquisition, processing and reporting software.
Min. 2 years field experience or equivalent.
Knowledge of computers and software.
English language.
