IMQS builds specialised, GIS-centric software for the Infrastructure Asset Management (IAM) market. IMQS’s software is currently enabling effective decision-making, service delivery and customer satisfaction in over 100 government and private organisations in South Africa and the world.

This position is IT & Data Support

Responsibilities:

Client Server monitoring: Rapid Response error handling and troubleshooting.

IMQS Web Application: Server set-up, software deployments, data imports and theme updates.
Operational documentation: creating and updating of documentation on Confluence.
Client IT support, including:
On-site user support, network assessment for implementation readiness, set-up accessible UAT and Production environments with the support of the client;

 

 
Create and update network diagrammes;
Draft technical (IT) SLAs, workshop SLA with client IT and Project Manager, track sign-off process and document reviews;
Compile guidelines on migrating existing as-is environments to to-be environments
Liaise with client IT on system audits and findings; propose corrective measures and assist in implementing;
Provide baseline training to IT Departments (user management, first line troubleshooting);
Attend client (project) IT meetings and provide written feedback from these meetings to the Head of Operations;
Remain responsible for the client’s environment post-implementation.
Compile hardware, network and technical requirements for each new IMQS product offering (think of mobile tools, plug-ins, integration projects, etc.). Share all of the above with Sales/Project/Account Management Teams.
Provide inputs to the Project Schedules and Project Plans for all new projects.
Contribute to product excellence by providing feedback to development teams.

Minimum Requirements/Skills:

• Intermediate IT support

• Database administration

• MS SQL scripting

• Advanced Excel

• Windows & Linux troubleshooting skills

• Working knowledge of web applications

• Working knowledge of JSON and XML

• Mobile form builder and data collection platform



Experience in the below will be an advantage:

• Experience in dealing with local governments –

IT Processes & Policies, System Audits and other compliance requirements.

• ITIL qualification

Will be negotiated and will be market related
