Requirement Overview
Novus Print, a division of Novus Holdings, has an opportunity for a Customs Entry Clerk to accurately and timeously process the necessary import and export applications within laid down policies and procedures. The position will form part of the Procurement team and will report to the Procurement Manager.


Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Requesting, printing, checking and filling of all import documentation

• Framing customs entries using application software specifically developed for the Clearing & Forwarding industry
• Submitting customs entries via EDI
• Capturing cargo dues
• Requesting shipping line invoices
• Forwarding customs release documentation to shipping lines for NAVIS release
• Generating Container Terminal Order documentation
• Providing relevant departments with accompanying packing lists
• Liaising with paper warehouse regarding expected deliveries
• Keeping up with changing government policies and tariffs on importation of goods


Educational Requirements
• Grade 12
• Clearing & Forwarding certificate/diploma

Experience Requirements
• 2 years import/export experience

• Planning and organising skills
• Analysing skills and detail conscious
• Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast moving environment
• Clearing software skills
