Summary: We are looking for an IT Application Support Analyst for a a leading software provider for compliance and risk management in the financial services industry. The Switzerland-based company is enhancing their services worldwide by expanding their customer service team in Cape Town, South Africa.


Job Description
The ideal candidate should have a valid IT qualification, with experience with API implementations, and API Methods, strong SQL skills as well as excellent communication skills. A multilingual candidate with additional languages such as French, Spanish or German will be an added bonus.



Main Responsibilities:

After sales support of our customers in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Americas
Discuss technical requirements to fit our solution into customers IT environment
On-site or remote installation and configuration of our software
Presentations to prospects and presales, and training of users at our customers
Customer support after installation for software or hardware problems
Maintain accurate records in CMS of the tasks performed
Write documentation: manuals and user guides


Experience and qualifications:

Required

University degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or similar qualification
3-5-year work experience in customer-oriented IT and support roles (remotely)
Fluent in written and spoken English (confident in business communication).
Allowed to work in South Africa (permanent resident or valid work visa)
Very good knowledge of MS Windows OS 7/8/10 and Windows Server OS 2008 R2 or newer for analyzing system configuration of our customers for the integration of our solution
Knowledge of:

Database Solutions, especially MS SQL Server 2012 or newer for installation, administration, maintenance and support
Programming of scripts of simple complexity (Transact-SQL)
Knowledge of C#, Visual Basic and .NET environments
Knowledge of Web-Applications and modern Web-Technology (ASP.NET, SOAP)
Installation and configuration of Web-Applications/Web-Services in MS Windows environment
Knowledge of network environments


Advantages:

Experience in analysis and specification of customers’ requirements including: API implementations, design and installation of Proof of Concept projects and assistance in completion of technical Requests of Proposals (advantageous)
Experience in Business Analysis and documentation of Business Requirements using mockups (advantageous)
Knowledge of other language is an advantage, e.g. German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, French.

Good presentation skills and pleasure to interact with customers
Willing to travel for training and customers installations from time to time
Willing to work Out of Hours (with compensation)
Own vehicle and Driver License
