This position is an analyst role in the delivery of Business Intelligence Reporting solutions to our clients. The Systems Analyst will be required to define and analyse client requirements and data.Can design solutions based on the requirements and produce a technical specification which will be used by the Developers to execute the build of the solutions. The Systems Analyst will also be responsible for the functional testing of the solution.

Key Responsibilities:

Analysing the clients source data which could be either database or file base;
Understanding the client reporting requirements;
Mapping the flow of data through the client reporting process from source to output;
Design data models to meet client requirements;
Creating the technical specification which would include a datamap, front end mock ups, data model design and data flow diagrams;
Engaging with the client to understand requirements and presenting the proposed solution design for sign off;
Conduct handover sessions to the development team; and
Functional testing of the deliveries.

Skills:

Must have knowledge of Data Warehouse and/or Tabular Data Model design concepts;
Must possess experience querying data from various sources, such as databases, CSV files, spreadsheets, etc. and integrating the data together to build solution;
Must possess basic SQL authoring skills to query data from a database;
Identifies and defines the data requirements necessary build solutions;
Identifies and performs detailed analysis of all data sources for each application and subject area;
Performs data profiling of data contained in source systems. What is the integrity of the data;
Provides the data mapping and associated transformation rules for each data item; and
Engaging with clients in person, telephonically and over Skype.
Qualification and level of experience required:

Relevant Degree/ Diploma (e.g. Information Systems, Bsc)
5+ years working experience in a relevant field
Advanced computer literacy skills/ the use of data extraction tools/ analytical tools and presentation tools
Advanced level MS Excel
Advantageous to understand financial data and financial reporting on Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement
