SHIFTS: MONDAY TO THURSDAY 8:00AM TO 17:00PM(ONE HOUR LUNCH) (FRIDAYS CLOSE AT 16:00PM WITH 30 MINUTE LUNCH) AND 3 OUT OF 4 SATURDAYS 9:00AM TO 13:00PM

PERMANENT POSITION | START ASAP

Our client is based within the baking industry, they are seeking a dynamic, well organised STORE MANAGER to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for opening the shop to be ready to trade at 8 am in the morning, ensuring all the shelves are neatly stocked and tidy and assisting customers in the shop.

REQUIREMENTS

Baking knowledge is essential
Excellent attention to detail, organisational and excellent multi-tasking skills
Sales experience essential
Retail Management experience preferred
Sales oriented, able to develop and build business
Passion for sales, friendly, outgoing and proactive

A can-do mentality and the ability to get your hands dirty
Clear criminal and ITC check
Non-smoker is essential


DUTIES

Organising a roster to ensure the cleaners know when and what to clean.
Being able to motivate the existing staff in the shop who they will manage.
Cleaning and neatening the shelves where necessary on a regular basis
Shelf merchandising, checking all shelves are stocked with correct prices on shelves, barcodes are on all products
Ensuring stock rotation on consumables
Ordering on a daily basis from the warehouse
General housekeeping duties
Operating the till, scanning machine (Pastel) and cash up at the end of day
Liaising with the bookkeeper at cash up on a daily basis
Ensuring that there is change at all times (can be arranged through the Bookkeeper)
Taking out the hire tins and stands for the next day’s customer who have booked them
Closing the shop at 5 pm and securing the premises on a Saturday
Liaising with other branches if customers are requesting any particular products and feedback to customer requests
