Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Assist Creditors with queries for Supplier prices and unprocessed Supplier invoices
Ensure that all paperwork is in place for Dispatching and Receiving
Process stock Purchase Orders on a daily basis as per the prescribed Purchase Order process to maximize accuracy of Planning System calculations
Escalate non delivery on time and in full to Planners within the bounds of the prescribed process
Actively participate in stock takes and ensure accuracy of captured stock together with reporting of variances
Assist with Supplier returns, recalls and manufacturer claims
Do stock take investigations on all items with variances in line with stock policies
Ensure that stock collected from other facilities is recorded daily and stock counts balance back daily, weekly and monthly
Maintain Purchase Order reports for completed orders
Monitor stock and report on low stock levels
Receipt and monitor Supplier invoices
Ensure Regional Distribution claims and processes are followed to industry standards and meet audit requirements

Ensure that all paperwork meets audit requirements
Interact with Finance, plant management and production staff in order to continuously improve on inventory systems and reporting thereof
Focused improvement on stock control systems and reporting
Monitoring of accuracy of reported information from production
Co-ordination of raw materials between storage locations
Managing of raw material stock balancing
Requirements, Skills and Knowledge

Computer literate – MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Sage
Meticulous attention to detail
Self-motivated
Hands-on approach to problem solving

Disciplined, pro-active and flexible
Ability to work extended hours as and when required
Numerate
Matric
A related Tertiary qualification would be an advantage
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Warehouse environment in a similar role
