Our Client in Cape Town requires a SAP Functional/Technical Consultant for a contract role. The successful candidate will evaluate the demands of the business owners, transforms the essence into an abstract and algorithmic business model and as such identifies the use cases and transforms them into logical and technical views and are able to configure the system.

Qualifications

3 years Degree/Diploma

Responsibilities
Structuring of system strategy such as the development of systems requirements through the design, prototyping, testing, training, defining, and implementation of procedures for support of practical business solutions

Assist the Business Analysts with the capabilities of the SAP system when required
To generate knowledge about the current business process, design current business flows, study current business processes and its complication, and getting through with current business setup
Identifies the use cases and transforms them into logical and technical views
Ensure that the users agree and sign-off the suggested solutions
Maintain the task management systems (EPM and Remedy)

Do accurate time keeping of time spent on changes
Customizing the respective business area and making sure the system reacts in the manner according to the constraints of the request

Design and implement technological business solutions
Prepare test scripts and execute testing of the configured scenarios
Do testing of customisations and developed programs
Maintain the task management systems (EPM and Remedy)
Do accurate time keeping of time spent on changes
Prepare test scripts for testing the configured scenarios and perform the testing

To oversee the developing of ABAP programs and functions as requested by business in accordance with the Organisation's Standards

To provide support to the members of the team as well as users of the SAP System

Assist the business users when necessary
Assist the Business Analysts with the capabilities of the SAP System when required
Experience

Essential

4-6 years SAP- Retail Domain experience
4-6 years Strong business facing Consultancy experience
Minimum of 2, ideally 3 IS retail project lifecycle in industry verticals, food, fashion or hard goods.
Solid implementation, configuration and functional and technical experience
Desirable

Integration experience to POS DM
Integration experience to F&R
Integration experience to Merchandise and Assortment Planning
Integration experience to Shelf Optimization products
Integration experience to Warehouse Management systems
Knowledge and Skills

Essential

Strong understanding of SAP SD, pricing, billing and order management functionality
Good understanding of MM/SD/Retail integration to SAP Financials
IS Retail Master data - Article master, Site master, Merchandise Hierarchies, Article Hierarchies
IS Retail Merchandising – Assortment Management and Layout Workbench, Pricing, Promotions, Markdowns
IS Retail Procurement to Pay processes including Retail replenishment, Perishable Planning, Merchandise Distribution, Rebates, Imports
IS Retail POS/BOS Integration – Assortment list, POS Interface, Enterprise services
Strong SAP MM skills in procurement, inventory management and MRP
