A leader in developing renewable energy projects is searching for a Project Development Manager to join their team in Cape Town. Keep in mind that this position will require expert knowledge of the REIPPP programme and will also require national travel as well as some international travel.

Responsibilities:

Full responsibility for the project development lifecycle from inception up until the start of construction.
Duties will include all development aspects including environmental studies, permitting, engineering, landowner and other stakeholder engagements, site selection, interaction with Eskom, government permitting requirements and a few private sector permissions.
Minimum Requirements:

Engineering qualification required
Project Management qualification extremely advantageous
5-6 years’ experience in renewable power development, essential
No less than 4 years’ experience in renewable energy, more specifically Wind and Solar PV
Excellent communication and presentation abilities at management level
