Project Development Manager

Join an international renewable energy organization as their project development manager for a fixed term contract. This renewable energy company is one of the world’s leaders in solar and wind energy. This role will require the successful candidate to travel to project sites in Africa and internationally.



Responsibilities:

Project management of numerous wind and solar projects at different stages, ensuring completion within budget and on schedule
Identify project sites, especially environmental sensitivities
Assist with landowner negotiations
Assist with project designs which include turbine, road and electrical layout
Manage project licensing
Liaise with statutory organizations (e.g. NEMA) that may impact renewable energy development
Assist with the procurement of construction commodities, key components, assist with investor selection processes and lead in tender submissions

Minimum Requirements:

Degree in Engineering, Business or Natural Sciences
Extensive renewable energy, project management experience
Motivated, driven self-manager
Advantageous - understanding of DEA process
Proven ability to work in a small team
Ability to solve problems creatively
