This is a customer-facing role where the Product Owner (PO), as a domain expert, takes responsibility for defining the products and high-level business requirements specifications with the customers. In addition, the PO prioritises the customers’ pipeline analysis and development requests and channels these via the DPMs to the operations’ service teams to deliver. The PO will plan releases in conjunction with the Development Manager and DPMs. The PO, Service Delivery Managers and DPMs are jointly responsible to ensure that client expectations are met. In addition, the PO is responsible for ensuring accurate billing; commercial contracts and SLAs are in place and needs to actively seek and optimize opportunities to Cross/Up-sell to existing customers.

• INNOVATIVE PRODUCT DEFINITION • REQUIREMENTS GATHERING - Conduct workshops with customers to define and create the products and high level business requirements specifications (BRS) and estimates • INNOVATION – Drive product innovation • QUALITY ASSURE – QA detailed Business Requirements Specifications and artifacts (diagrams, mockups/prototypes and User Stories), User acceptance requirements created by BAs to ensure that it conforms to Definition of Done requirement, quality standards are met and client expectations are met. • PRIORITISE the customers’ pipeline analysis and development requests and channels these via the DPMs to the operations’ service teams to deliver. Any Support & Operations matters will be channeled through service teams and DPMs • MONITOR support and operations requests are dealt with timeously and to the customer’s satisfaction • DOCUMENTATION - Create documentation and once signed off by the customers ensure all document artifacts are held in the designated document repository. COLLABORATE • Working collaboratively with the Agile development teams:



• As the domain expert, work and collaborate closely with the DPMs, BAs, and Development Managers to facilitate & enable the teams to meet sprint deliveries and client expectations are met. • Provide high-level business requirements to BAs to elaborate on. • Deliver according to the Definition of Done requirement. • Support the development process by assisting DPMs and BA’s to understand the requirements. • Conduct Release Planning meetings with Development Manager and DPMs. • Support BAs by Participating in, and co-presenting demos where required.

RELEASE PLANNING • PLAN releases in conjunction with the Development Manager and DPMs. • MEETING CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS - The PO, Service Delivery Managers and DPMs are jointly responsible to ensure that client expectations are met. COMMERCIALS • BILLING - Responsible for accurate billing of all work undertaken for customers • CONTRACTS /COMMERCIAL AGREEMENTS - Responsible for drafting and sign-off of the customers contracts by all parties concerned • SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENTS (SLAs)– Responsible for drafting and sign-off of all SLAs

• Self-starter, able to manage individual responsibilities and also contribute successfully to team deliveries on complex, long-term projects. • Strong analytical ability and abstract thinking to be able to gather high-level business requirements effectively and QA the user stories and technical specifications. • Strong interpersonal skills. Listening attentively to requirements, in depth questioning, interpretation and ability to see the holistic view of the business and assess impact accordingly. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to document and present the results of analysis clearly and concisely. • Should have technical background or aptitude. • Able to Multi-task and manage multifaceted analysis projects (dual track) • Ability to act as a bridge between the Client, redPanda Executives, Development Manager and Development Project Managers. • Excellent release planning & organising skills • Ability to Influence and negotiation skills

Must be able to interrogate and analyze data using Excel and SQL.

Education and General Working Experience • Ideally an IT Diploma or related Degree will be an advantage but is not essential. • Minimum requirement is Matric with at least 3+ years of on the job work experience. • Ideally but not essential, experience in using Agile (SAFe) methodologies will be an advantage. • Exposure to Enterprise development will be a definite advantage.
