Operations Assistant

Employer: Time Trucking
Track & Trace vehicles daily.
Update clients on vehicle ETA's.
Ensure all vehicles are loaded and offloaded on time.
Identify and follow up on exceptions by communicating with transporter, loading point or customer.
Capture exceptions and communicate to relevant parties.
Monitoring and controlling of customer deliveries to ensure on-time delivery and completeness.
Ensure that trips that have been started/completed the previous evening/weekend are captured at the start of each day.
Communication with internal stakeholders and transport service providers.
Build relationships with transport service providers and their operations staff.
Develop relationships with transporters and clients.
Good communication with clients, keeping them informed about the status of the cargo.
Daily administration function – feed all load data into computer database.
Collecting of POD’s & documentation.

Handling of client, transport, and supplier related queries.
Candidate Requirements
Must have 5 years experience in the Logistics Industry / Road Transport.
Good communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
Knowledge of the transport market.
Excellent customer service.
Professional and presentable looking.
Must have a valid RSA driver’s License & own transport.
Must be computer literate – MS Office, Outlook / Excel / Word.
Marketing Skills.
Negotiating skills.
To be polite and respectable to all customers and staff members.
Dealing with transport companies.
