Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel is looking for a Human Resources Officer:
Responsible for the full payroll function which includes processing and both internal and external reporting.
You will also be required to process the Exclusive Destinations payroll, as well the relevant month end reporting and relegated requirements.
Responsible for Human Resources administration which involves the administration of employee records, new joiners, terminations, status changes, birthday cards, long service milestone letters etc.
Maintain and monitor the On-Track system, as well as check reporting, standards, forecasting etc. to ensure best use of the system and productivity in the hotel. Communicate reports monthly as required.
Manage the ordering and issuing of uniforms for all staff.
Assist with industrial relations matters.
Assist with maintaining the staff notice boards.
Manage all correspondence and the administration of employee benefits providers.
Participate in any projects to develop the payroll processes and database, taking a lead on identifying improvements and playing a key role in implementing any resultant changes.
Assist with conducting six-week probationary reviews.
Responsible for the ordering of stationery supplies for the Human Resources Office.
Assist with daily Human Resources related queries from staff.
Ensure all relevant employee concerns, queries or issues you become of aware of, are timeously shared with the relevant member of the Human Resources Department.
You will be required to assist with other Human Resources related duties such as, but not limited to, recruitment, welfare, staff functions, industrial relations and learning and development.
Diploma/Degree from a reputable institute – preferred.
1-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
Extensive knowledge and experience in VIP Payroll (Sage VIP certification advantageous).
Computer literate (advanced MS Excel).
Thorough understanding of the payroll process and associated legislation.
Methodical and accurate work practice essential.
Strong organizational & administrative skills.
Basic knowledge of HR principles is advantageous.
High attention to detail and degree of accuracy.
