Purpose
The purpose of the Human Resources (HR) Assistant is to provide the Divisional Human Resource Manager with a support function, which focuses on effectively administering Human Resources and producing various reports on all Human Resources related issues in the Meat Markets division.
Qualifications
- HR Degree/Diploma or other relevant qualification
Experience
- Must have at least one - two years HR Administration experience/payroll experience
- Retail experience would be advantageous
- South African citizen or permanent residency
Knowledge
- Excellent computer literacy and working knowledge of Google Suite software
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Good knowledge and understanding of HR procedures and practices

- Committed team player with sound interpersonal and communication skills
- Good decision-making skills
Job objectives
- To assist with recruitment (e.g. posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, screening, reference checks)
- To assist with the employee take on process - drafting contracts and printing of employee benefit documents
- Submitting of employee contracts and administration to payroll
- To assist with updating employee information and advising employees regarding company benefits (e.g. medical aid, provident/pension fund, disability, death, educational loans, emergency loans, long service, buying card)
- To assist with the fleet management process and to keep employee records up-to-date
- To ensure employee information is correctly captured onto SAP HR
- To assist employees with payroll queries
- Extracting monthly SAP reports - annual Leave, training reports, vacancy reports, expiring of contracts.
- Assist with drawing up of UI19 documents
