Your key job responsibilities as the Gaming Mathematician in Cape Town will include:

Participate in the creation and review of original mathematician models and new game themes and concepts
Work with Senior Game Mathematicians in conducting and verifying math calculations
Produces and reviews documentation for regulators describing math models
Works with programming team to implement games on multiple platforms
Liaise with team leaders and team members (Test Technicians, Graphic Artists,
Software Developers, Software Engineers) to facilitate the timely progression of game projects
Requirements for this Gaming Mathematician job in Cape Town:

Degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics or equivalent
You have a basic mathematical intuition. This role is more about mathematical and game mechanical solutions, than visual solutions

You can put yourself in a players’ shoes and make game mechanics that are fun to play
You are thorough in your work – you will need to eliminate every single small mistake in your math models via troubleshooting
Show a keen interest in industry trends
