Requirements A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. SAP experience is a recommendation. Sound knowledge of financial principles. A good understanding of contracts and service level agreements. An understanding of the hospital services industry would be an advantage. Ability to display sound judgement in problem-solving. The ability to work with people by showing respect and building team spirit. The ability to identify and demonstrate company values. Sound planning and organising skills. Service commitment. Exhibits full responsibility for own work outputs. A Grade 12 with Accounting as a subject. Good accuracy and attention to detail skills in order to maintain high standards in work output. Ability to function independently.
Key Outputs Involvement in other areas where financial / interim control is needed. Continuous performance and quality management. Preparation of statistics and budgets as required by Hospital Management. Financial control which includes: Orders processed in accordance with Mediclinic's policies. Follow up on outstanding invoices. Accurate cost allocations and monthly provisions. Total responsibility of Petty Cash function. Cash book and banking, which includes monies received and banked as per procedure. Prepare cheques as per procedures. Provide financial reports and stats to management as required. Maintain client service principles to ensure client expectations are met. Asset control. Budget control. Auditing.
