Can you create and organise exciting events? Do you have what it takes to work in the dynamic yet demanding tourism and events industry? Do you have extensive knowledge of Cape Town venues?

Our busy Hout Bay office requires a sales consultant/event organiser to join our team. The job entails preparing detailed quotes, itineraries and cost calculations, liaising with clients & suppliers and co-ordinating of the event. If you are sales driven, have a professional manner, attention to detail, excellent writing and communication skills, and can work under pressure, this could be the job for you.

The successful applicant MUSThave at least 2 years MICE industry experience, be customer service orientated and eager to learn. A fun personality and a passion for new experiences is a must to fit in with our young, energetic team.

This position entails, but is not restricted to, the following duties:

Provide quality customer service
Establish customers' needs and send appropriate quotes
Telephone and email communications with clients
Follow up calls and meetings with clients
Identify sales opportunities and follow up on existing accounts for business development
Preparing cost sheets for each event

Taking ownership of each event
Detailing the logistics of confirmed events on the bookings calendar
Communicate with the operations department regarding the details of each booking
Create and execute appropriate strategic plans to bring in more business
Research leads in order to develop new business connections
Make calls to prospective clients and inform them about new products and deals
Meet individual and company sales targets
Give feedback on each lead and quote to management
Participate in company meetings
Assist with running events as required
Work on weekends to run events if required
Update social media platforms
