Compliance Officer - FMCG : Edenvale-Pick n Pay

Pick n Pay is looking to recruit a Compliance Officer - FMCG. This is an International role based in the Longmeadow DC Edenvale. The purpose of the job is to monitor and maintain all Proof of Delivery (POD) & Claims statistics and queries on an ongoing basis.

Minimum Requirements
Matric
Relevant tertiary qualification
At least 2 to 3 years customs compliance experience
Experience within the warehouse & distribution and logistics sector will be an added advantage

Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure that all Import/Export DC’s are compliant with all statutory requirements
To ensure all restricted/banned stock are not exported and blocked for further ordering.
Identify and communicate possible risk and gaps in processes
Ensure 100% audit of stock for cross border loads
Authorise clearing instructions

Ensure that yearly PPECB / ZA Certification / SA GAP Audit / Water testing are done to comply with statutory requirements
Obtain Batch & Expiry dates to create Annexure “A”
Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures
Administration
To ensure that Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met in response to clearing agents costs
Ensure Import permits are in place
Track cross border permits expiry dates and cost monthly
To investigate and resolve queries on an ongoing basis
To ensure that daily reporting deadlines are met.
Ensure that the POD’s and all border documents are received back from stores
Scanning and filing of export documentation
Printing of TAX invoices
To ensure alignment with PnP as well as a good working relationship is maintained.
Implement and manage key relations - Ensure and maintain ongoing exceptional relationships with the customers
Service Level Agreement - Quality of service provided and maintained on an ongoing basis
