Munich Reinsurance Company of Africa Limited (MRoA) has been operating in South Africa for 50 years, although the Munich Re (Group) was active on the Continent via Munich Re in Munich for some years prior to commencing the Southern African operation in Johannesburg in 1968. The Head Office of MRoA is in Johannesburg, with a client service Life office situated in Cape Town.
Providing claims risk management expertise to the MRoA Life team and clients.
Marketing of claims risk management services to clients (Life Insurance companies).
Promoting and ensuring effective claims risk management practices relating to the MRoA Life portfolio.
Establishing and managing relationships with Claims Managers and other decision makers.
Ensure profitability of portfolio's through prudent claims risk management practices.
Providing advice to clients with regards to international and local best practices.
Responsible in ensuring validity of claims.
Qualification:
BSc – Occupational Therapy or Equivalent
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 5 years management experience in the insurance industry (dealing with Life Claims)
Communication skills
Negotiations skills

Report writing skills
Financial Acumen
Computer literacy
Ability to analyse data that inform business practices and approaches
