CES Technician

A vacancy exists for a Technician – CES, based at Klerksdorp, reporting to the CES Co-ordinator. This position is responsible to provide hands on maintenance to CES plants within all areas of responsibility in line with SHEQ, BOP, as well as production requirements.
Minimum Requirements...
The successful incumbent should have a matric or NQF Level 3 coupled with an Artisan qualification. Several years relevant maintenance experience in the gasses environment is required including instrumentation, condition monitoring, process systems software and hardware, fault finding, testing and repair.

Experience in gas welding, copper flow, brazing and easy flow is required.

The successful incumbent further should have planning and organizing skills, communication and computer literacy (MS Office) and should be energetic, enthusiastic, result and team work driven and attention to detail and initiative orientated.

Job Specification...
Key Areas of Responsibility includes:

Maintain Afrox owned equipment as per SAP PM or CM WO’s ensuring that equipment is safe, operational and in good condition for the application.

Ensure equipment is maintained in line with legal and production requirements while following safe working procedures and processes.

Respond to malfunctions and break downs within required time lines minimizing customer down time and / or production losses.

Maintain stock levels and critical spares to enable swift response to call outs and break downs.

Execute manifold and bulk installations as per standard P&ID;’s within budget and delivery time lines.

All Service Calls, Permits, Work Orders and Project Documentation must be completed correctly and comprehensively to ensure 100% record keeping.

Liaison with managers, coordinators, customers and sales is a fundamental aspect of the position and must be done timeously in a professional and well-mannered approach.

Must be able to trouble shoot and fault find to enable repairs in a reasonable time span.

Work Overtime and perform Stand-by when required in line with operational requirements.

Maintain tools and equipment exceptionally well and ensure exemplary housekeeping of workshop and work areas.

Take extreme care of tool vehicle and adhere 100% to driving requirements.

Attend and complete all training when required to ensure continuous improvement in skills, knowhow and expertise.

Compliment the CES Area by being a valuable team player, innovating ideas, sharing knowledge and experience on an ongoing basis.

Work according to the 8 Golden Rules of Safety, SHEQ and Safety Standards, Afrox PTW System, Processes and Procedures at all times.
