Do you have a passion for skills development by assisting organisations to implement their people development plans? A corporate training organisation in Cape Town is seeking to employ a Business Development Consultant to complement their existing team.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB:

Achieving a market-related annual sales target. Identifying and closing new business opportunities in the Business and Government Training markets. Building and managing an individual pipeline of new business opportunities in a manner that will lead to the consistent achievement of monthly sales targets. Reporting on individual pipelines in an accurate and timely manner. Customer relationship management

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

Achieving / exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets. Processing external and internal documentation to validate customer course booking. Turning customers into repeat customers. Growing the revenue stream from these customers. Registering the company on customer supplier data bases. Responding to tenders.

OTHER FEATURES OF THE JOB:

Own reliable car and drivers licence required.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE NECESSARY:

Matric or equivalent, Sales training – preferable, Computer literate, Proficient on MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

One to three years experience in sales, accompanied by a proven track record of achievement against an individual sales target. Business Development/Sales experience in the IT training Industry or broader IT industry will be beneficial. Strong communication and writing skills. Excellent computing skills are essential. Target driven.
