The Group purchases and processes all forms of ferrous metals (steel and others) and non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper and others) from industrial enterprises, scrap metal dealers and private individuals. Our processing facilities are located in and around Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria. As of 2018, the Group is 99 years old.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all staff have the equipment to do the tasks set out, ensuring machinery and equipment is in good working order and are maintained as per maintenance schedules, training of staff in the steel yard, ensure the Steel yard and Light steel yard meet targets set out, ensure the containers are loaded as planned for the day and make sure that the targets for loading containers is met as set out per order, ensure that steel yard is compliant to the health and safety standards of the company.

QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE

Grade 12 or equivalent
Flexible and willing to work overtime.
Supervisory Experience
3 years’ experience in production, heavy engineering or mining environment.
Ability to work quickly and under pressure
Knowledge of ferrous.

Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
QUALIFYING ATTRIBUTES
