We are focused on research, support and implementing integrated approaches to managing TB and HIV.
The following positions have become available as part of the Public Health Division in the Pepfar MMC Tembisa team project and you are welcome to apply should you meet the requirements of the position.

Provide Clinical Services:
Facilitate clinical procedures and related activities as required in the day to day implementation of the VMMC project
Integrate HAST Prevention, Treatment and Care Services (e.g. HCT, STI management)
Psychosocial assessment and relevant referrals into VMMC package of services
Maintenance of a health, non-hazardous clinical and surgical environment
Implementation of Department of Healthβs National VMMC Guidelines
Infection Prevention and Control:
Ensure Infection Prevention Control and Continuous Quality Improvement in VMMC is maintained by:
oEnsure sterility at all times
oMaintain proper procedure during dressing
oEncouragement of proper hand hygiene
oEnsure clean and well ventilated environment
oIdentification of potential risks and their management.
General Administration:
Liaise with external and internal clients
Obtain and accurately document informed consent forms from participants
Administer other data collection instruments as required (including but not limited to: assessment of understanding, risk assessment, questionnaires or any other interviews documentation
Complete, compile and submit relevant clinic data forms
Ensure the ethical, timely, accurate, confidential and courteous processing of programme clients/patients data and files
Planning monthly VMMC schedule with the Project Manager
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve the project and organisational goals
Ensure facility equipment is maintained
Performing any other duties will contribute to the efficient running of the project as may be assigned by management
Contribute with timeous, accurate monthly statistics, reports and ensure all relevant data forms are completed
Other:
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures according to prescribed procedures and legislation
Report all unsafe activities to Senior Management/Human Resources
Adhere and maintain decision making authority as allocated to the position
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve project and organisational goals
Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skill.
Requirements
Qualification/Professional Membership
Enrolled Nursing Certificate or equivalent qualification
Valid registration with the SANC as an Enrolled Nurse
VMMC Clinical and/or Counselling training and experience is highly advantageous
A dispensing license is highly advantageous
Basic HIV/AIDS training
Basic HIV/AIDS Counselling training
Advantage: Dispensing license, VMMC Clinical and/or Counselling certificate/experience.
Work Experience:
Minimum 2 yearsβ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of SA National VMMC Guidelines
2 years clinical experience in clinical HAST related work
2 yearsβ experience in PHC setting
Previous experience in a surgical environment and counselling skills are highly advantageous
Other Requirements:
SA Valid drive licence
Intermediate computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, and MS Word
Ability to work under pressure
Interview skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
