Leading South African online retailers of furniture, bedding and decor is seeking a customer SHOWROOM ASSISTANT to head up their newly opened showroom in Kramerville, Sandton. We are seeking a well-spoken, trustworthy, mature individual that would be able to work independently and provide accurate daily / weekly reports for head office. The Showroom Assistant needs to be computer savvy, have excellent communications skills and have the ability to run and manage a showroom for walk in customers as well as manage the Ecommerce business with regards to online orders and website updates with the guidance of the head office team based in Cape Town.


Furthermore the Showroom Assistant will be responsible with answering customer enquiries and answering the phone in a professional, upbeat manner. The person will be required to get to know the products very well so that they can answer customer queries via email and over the phone.


The Showroom will be open Tuesday to Saturday and the hours will be from 9am to 6pm (to be discussed and confirmed). The Showroom Assistant will be required to work some public holidays as arranged with management.


Experience and skills required:

Must have matric, tertiary qualification would be an added advantage
Experience working in a furniture retail / showroom environment with sales and/or admin
Experience in customer service

E-commerce / Online experience would be an added advantage
Must be proficient in MS office, use of Internet & email software
Must have valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
Excellent communication skills, must be fluent in English
