Our client is looking for an energetic and vibrant Senior Catering Manager to take on a leadership role in managing the food service operations at a prestigious Private School in Nelspruit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming and nutritious dining experience for students, faculty, and staff while adhering to high standards of quality and safety.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a Catering Manager or in a similar role.

Minimum Requirements:
A degree or equivalent qualification in the Hospitality sector is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Catering Manager.
Excellent knowledge of budgets, cost control measures, stock management, and stock control.
Knowledge and experience in running tuck shops or similar on-campus food service outlets.
Chef background and a strong culinary flair.

Good knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (OHSE) requirements to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Take overall responsibility for managing the daily catering operations at the school.
Must be able to foster and maintain healthy client relationships, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns promptly.
Strong administrative and organizational skills to efficiently manage the catering department's logistics and paperwork.
Experience in the management of both small and large functions, including planning, execution, and follow-up.
Experience in managing a large number of staff in a team. Confident in HR-related matters, staff training, and upskilling.
Must be a strong leader with an excellent work ethic, capable of working well under pressure and independently. Leading by example in all aspects of the role.
