About the Position
Our client a reputable name within the car rental industry requires the service of a Sales Specialist to join their dynamic team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
Regenerate dormant accounts.
Target opposition accounts.
Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
Identify potential clients, and decision makers within the client organization.
Work with the team to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns and objectives.
Load all new account applications and ensure the client has completed the application correctly.
Meet growth revenue targets.
Ensure understanding and maximization of customer profitability.
Manage and negotiate customer pricing within set guidelines to achieve maximum profitability.
Actively develop strategic relationships with key decision makers within the customer base.
Enhance relationships with current prospective clients by leveraging the credibility gained through knowledge and performance of the client's business environment and requirements.
Seek and continuously develop knowledge of our client business to build an understanding of their needs.
Be a trusted advisor to all customers through consultative engagement and adding value.
Ensure that contracted customer service level agreements (SLA's) are met.
Develop and manage account plans to meet the business needs of clients.
Accountable for resolving issues with the customers preferred requirements to formulate and present relevant solutions.
Generate accurate weekly feedback report on all new business, opportunities for growth within existing account, risk exposure.
Monthly and quarterly reviews to be held with decision makers to discuss revenue, up trade and down trade and analyse business strengths and weaknesses and opportunity for growth in each individual customer. Reach monthly targets, submit action plan if targets are not reached and discuss with RSM.
Monthly target list to be done and results monitored.
Updating pipeline spread sheet with deadlines.
Ensure a continuous robust pipeline of opportunities.
Ensure retention of customers.
Adherence to company bid management process compulsory.
Maintain and review pipeline monthly.
Monthly reports to be done on activity of area. Showing upgrade and down trade and action plan on dormant accounts as well as new business.
Manage the creation and presentation of proposal presentations and RFP responses.
Desired Skills
Grade 12
Diploma or similar qualification
NQF6
3-5 years of relevant sales experience.
Valid
unendorsed code 8 driver's license
Exposure to major accounts and major projects
Exposure to business development and generation.
Exposure to major RFP's and Tenders
Computer literate specifically advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
Listening skills.
