Sales Representative


Location: Johannesburg, West rand

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


Sales and marketing of selected products
Store visits as per Call cycle
Stock management
Customer service
Lead, motivate, direct, develop and control staff
Development and assessment of staff in the stores

Personnel administration
Compilation and submission of reports
Building of relationships with customers and supplier partners
Liaising with supplier partners and distribution agents on stock issues
Liaise and provide feedback to Regional Sales Manager on issues, problems and opportunities
Achievement of Sales Budgets set
Achievement of all Company objectives
Fulfil certain human resources responsibilities

Criteria & Personal Skills/Attributes:


At least 5 years’ sales experience in the FMCG/Retail grocery industry
Grade 12 and all relevant experience and potential will be considered
IR experience advantageous
Time management
Planning ability especially working under pressure
Basic computer literacy and working knowledge of MS Office packages
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal, relationship and negotiation skills
Ability to motivate others
Pro-active and assertive approach
Proven leadership & relationship building skills
Valid driver’s licence (Code 08) and own vehicle (or the ability to organise financing for a vehicle) as travelling is widespread and an essential part of the position
