1. CORE FUNCTIONS:
2. Promote/sell/secure orders from existing and prospective customers through telly sales or walk in customers.
3. Achieve targets as set down.
4. To upsell or cross-sell whenever possible
5. Develop new customers in a manner that will achieve short and long-term, profitable growth for the company.
6. Demonstrate products and services to existing and potential customers and assisting customers in selecting what is best suited to the customers, needs.
7. Identify sales opportunities, networking and fact-finding and telephonically cold calling on customers to gain new business.

8. Follow up on Quotations9. Negotiating sales deals and closing deals.
10. Perform visual audits of a customer accounts, identify and correct any compliance issues.
11. Facilitate Customers orders right up until the logistical part of the order
12. File Customer orders and do all Sales related Admin.
13. Prepare estimates from a building plan by calculating the materials that a customer or prospective customer will require for his project/s, you only need to calculate the materials that the company or and its associated companyโs sells.
14. Pricing bill of Quantities and tenders.
15. Expediting and resolving of any customers problems and complaints, within the shortest possible time frame.
16. Coordinate your sales effort/s with key account managers, marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and production department.
17. Create and manage the companyโs customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities for the company.
18. Identify the advantages, and compares the companies or its associated companies products/services against its competing competitors in the market and report on this.
19. Participates in trade shows, events and conventions where the companyโs product is displayed.
20. Attend training courses where your skills in the sales of the companies products will be improved.
21. Attain in-depth Product/Brand knowledge of the company and its associated companies.
22. Attain in-depth knowledge of all the company systems
23. Report on Quotes/Contracts won and lost, reason for losing quote/contract and prospective contracts
QUALIFICATIONS:
24. Must possess a minimum of 5 years experience in the sales sector.
25. Successfully completed at a at minimum grade 12, and preferable in possession of a post-secondary degree in or diploma in sales or marketing
26. Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).
27. Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Must be able to multi task.
28. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
29. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software and has worked with an accounting package preferable Pastel Evolution
30. Able to work in low bureaucratic/political environment, outside the box thinker, sense of humility, flexible, adaptable to changing conditions, and be an excellent team player.
31. Salary Market related. Plus Commission
