RETAIL STORE MANAGER| SURF AND SKATE WEAR

SOMERSET WEST, CAPE TOWN | BASIC SALARY R11 000 PER MONTH
PERMANENT POSITION | START ASAP
Our client is a very well know brand of surf and skate wear brand. They are looking for a RETAIL STORE MANAGER who will love and live the brand. The ideal candidate should have previous retail management experience and have a strong character and be dedicated and driven towards people and turnover.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

2-3 years retail management experience at retail chain, brand or similar retailer.
Ability to work weekends and holidays
Ability to communicate in English
Knowledge of retail operation, including sales and customer service, merchandising and promotional techniques, inventory control and loss prevention
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with individuals from diverse backgrounds such as customers, other employees and management staff

Staff Management
Stock Management
Administration
Customer service & Actual Sales
Housekeeping
Achieve set revenues and maintain required margins and KPI’s
Ensure effective store facilities management
Supervises the store employees in the areas of loss prevention, customer service
Provide management advice to staff on problems / store emergencies
Verifies and monitors hours worked
Management of staffing plans
Oversees stock counts
Management of all operations programs
Monitors and order all store operation and merchandising suppliers
Cash Management: open and closing store in accordance with established policies and procedures i.e. verifies opening cash balance, run daily back etc.
Oversees daily cash reconciliations and bank deposit procedures
Execute staff dress in store uniform
Perform any and all duties normally assigned to subordinate staff to maintain staff coverage and to lead by example
