Parts Marketing & Pricing Manager, Africa Job
Job Summary:
Prepare, support & manage Parts Marketing and pricing objectives, policy & programs to ensuring profitable growth.
Define the product offer for assigned categories, maintaining parts data pricing in line with the parts lifecycle management strategy.
Monitor sales, margin & service level performance and implement programs and initiatives to ensure objectives are met.
Works closely with Sales Managers and Product Marketing on marketing initiatives.
Works closely with Product Managers, Technical Support & Parts Functions to ensure the parts product offer is in line with wider business objectives
Communicates with Dealers to monitor market activity, formulate strategy and ensure maximum value on all activities.
Conducts market research to identify opportunities for new and existing products, primarily focusing on the optimal product offer to support AGCO branded
machinery at varying lifecycle stages.
Works with the Parts Sales Managers to monitor cost & selling prices evaluating competitive environment and price positioning whilst delivering on sales and
margin targets.
Job Responsibilities:
Product Offer Definition & Product Management - Product offer in assigned categories is consistent with the parts life-cycle strategy. Coordinates with related parties to ensure the initial order process is conducted thoroughly. Identifies exit strategies for obsolete parts.
Parts Data Maintenance - Parts data created consistently into the company software and related parties informed. Existing data is maintained and improved with appropriate visibility to related functions and Dealers.
Parts Pricing Strategy - Parts pricing is maintained in company systems and consistent with competitive environment, margin plans and parts life-cycle strategy.
Sales Volume & Forecasting - Assists the Parts Sales Manager in planning the Parts Sales budgets and forecasts. Ensures the sales volumes achieved are consistent to budget and forecast. Identifies opportunities to maximize sales volume.
Competitor & Market Analysis - Captures and analyze competitor and market information, plans strategies accordingly with the Parts Sales Managers.
Promotions - Plans and manages promotions and campaigns
Dealer Call Plan - Participates in the Dealer Call plan ensuring Dealers are kept informed of latest promotions, initiatives and market activities. Responds to dealer feedback and inquiries ensuring customer service standards are maintained along with customer services team
Qualifications:
Experience in a Parts Distribution business in a marketing or supply role, 6-8 years minimum
Commercial experience in emerging markets with a background in agriculture preferable
Ability to analyze complex pricing data
Skilled in the use of MS office suite
Good verbal and written communication skills
