Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:-

Matric.
Relevant Degree/Diploma.
Minimum 5 years courier logistics supervision.
Understanding of the suppy chain process.
Geographical knowledge.

Job Function:-

Effectively and efficiently manage the Distributions/Courier Operations team, Regional Managers, Sales team and Driver complement.
Ensure that there is compliance with all policies and procedures and strict adherence to internal controls.
Ensure daily, weekly and monthly reporting is done accurately and timeously and contains appropriate content to enable effective decision making.
Ensure items are collected and delivered on time using the most cost efficient transport process.

Ensure achievement of company’s strategic objectives, goal plans and targets.
Play a detailed support role to the General Manager.

Financial Metrics:

Ensure most efficient logistic solution to minimise the company internal cost.
Effective managment of the fleet to meet customer orders timeously.
Monitor supplier pricing.
Establish and implement internal controls to safe guard company assets.
Managment of working capital.
Forecasting/planning according to customer demands/events.
Maintenance of the SWOT analysis.
People:

Advanced Driver training and Driver courtesy training on the road.
Performance management of staff.
Enforce ethical, honest, transparent, fair work environment.
Source training as and when needed for staff.
Talent retention.
Succession planning.
Recruitment and related interviews.
Compliance, Risk and Quality:

Creation and review of customer feedback assessment.
Legal agreements in place with all suppliers and customers and landlords.
Create, maintain and enforce company policies and procedures.
100% compliance with health and safety regulations.
Cross border / Customs duty compliance.
Compliance with relevant laws and regulations relating to operations.
Growth and New Markets/Products:

Customer relationship management.
Source new business and new service offerings.
Development of existing business and service offerings.
