My client is looking for a strong BI Developer to develop high quality end to end BI Solutions for their external stakeholders.

This will include:

Daily system reporting
Adhoc reporting
Strategic interaction with the development of their data warehouse


Purpose of Role/Key Objectives

To ensure high quality, timely delivery, design and development of reporting solutions to specified requirements working closely with the MIS Development Lead and Product Development management team.

Designation of Post and Position within Departmental Structure
The MIS Developer role operates as part of the MIS team and reports to the BI manager, who in turn reports to the Head of Product Delivery. In this capacity you will work as part of the MIS team.


Main Duties and Responsibilities
Develop bespoke reports
Analyse legacy data feeds to MIS and design replacements
Work closely with the MIS Development Lead in order to ensure that reporting requirements
are met within agreed timescales,
Contributing to the overall architecture of Internal Systems from a design and implementation viewpoint.
Utilising the current software design techniques as dictated by the development leads
Keeping up to date with new and existing technologies through which the system will be implemented
Ensuring quality is included in all parts of the software development lifecycle.
Provide support to management and business units, as requested, when a business disruption occurs

MUST:

ND in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or specialized training/certification. Or equivalent work experience.
Oracle10g or above SQL and PL/SQL is the primary requirement for this role.
Experience of Visual Studio tools
4+ years’ experience in business intelligence
Ability to understand and find appropriate application for data and analysis results
Expresses technical and business concepts, ideas and conclusions orally and in writing. Listens attentively and reinforces words through empathetic body language and tone.
Desirable:

Experience of MVC3, ASP.Net, ADO.Net, JQuery, JavaScript, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS
Appreciation of development processes, in particular knowledge of Lean and Agile methodologies, and experience of the full development life cycle.
UML design skills.
Webservice implementation skills and knowledge of XML.
